Takes the sun
Handles direct sun and summer heat that scorch most indoor plants.

A South African succulent with thick, glossy, coin-shaped leaves on woody stems, often given as a good-luck plant. It wants several hours of sun and very little water, so it suits a sunny railing or window ledge better than a dim room. Grown well, it slowly becomes a small, tree-like shrub.

Why this plant
A Jade Plant is not decoration.
Handles direct sun and summer heat that scorch most indoor plants.
Its fleshy leaves store water, so it goes 10 days or more between waterings.
With a slightly bigger pot every few years, a jade lives for decades and thickens into a small tree.
